Ebony, I must say I greatly enjoyed the Word Smith Poetry Jam. Last night was my first time attending and it was wonderful and I look forward to attending future Jams. Nice location, nice setting, great performances and you are indeed a lovely Emcee. Keep up the good work!  

Hello Ebony, I wanted to congratulate you on a great show last night. My wife and I had an awesome time! Everyone was so talented. You did a great job getting the crowd involved. Thanks for the invitation.  We plan to attend future events.

Just so you know, I am on board for next month as well. I was impressed last night. I am very prolific, write all the time, daily, but I saw a few things last night that motivated me to bring something different to the table next time. I will do what I can to bring more people in next month. Seems my circle of people can be an unmotivated, apathetic bunch at times, or busy with too many other things, but this seems to be something that can only keep growing. Just wanted to let you know how impressed I was with some of last night. And props to you for keeping it all together so well. Thanks for the forum.

The Slam last night was beautiful. My wife was blown away and had a great time.AND sister, your own poem – about yourself – was really good, entertaining, poignant, and highly accurate. You can write.

Ebony, WHAT AN AMAING EVENT!!!! We heard about the Poetry Jam during the African American Festival, and attended the one on July 29.  Our minds were blown, our hearts were lifted, our ears were tickled.  Please add us to the mailing list for future events.  THANKS!!!

Ebony had an awesome show last night…a very talented woman.

That was a greattime. No doubt about the best $5 you’d spend……you do a great job of playing the host. You reeled things in when necessary and steered them well and got the crowd ready for everything. He’s been involved in similar things and was pretty impressed. Just thought you might like the positive feedback.

Ebony Walden’s poetry night at Bel Rio last month, three deep at the bar and the most racially and age integrated crowd that local poet and politician Kendra Hamilton has ever witnessed. (sam witt, cville weekly)
